Character glossary
The Boy AKA. Death mask- Main character and was drafted to fight in combat.
The great shadow- The greatest evil in the Singlarr galaxy.
Commander Hagotti- The man who trained Deathmask as a warrior
Commander Hemotto- He hates Deathmask because of some unknown reason.
Joe, Aka Mr. Big- A large solider, who will not listen to anyone weaker than him.
Shifty Pete- A young orphan who desires a better life.
One eyed Bob- Another boy at the same orphanage as Pete.
Three-legged Billy- The younger son of John and Betty.
Kill Joy-A recruit that is seeking to be a combat medic.
Damion- The evil owner of Pete and Bob’s orphanage.
Cindy- The daughter of Damion and one of Pete’s friends.
Chapter 17.1

Pete had just jumped in bed with Cindy so that he would not be spotted by the incoming nurses.
Just a moment later, a nurse went in the curtained off section that Cindy had been put in. Pete was sweating profusely due to the fear that he would be caught. Cindy’s face was red as an apple.
The nurse said nothing and just checked the stats on Cindy’s medical machine
Pete was clenching his fists so hard that his knuckles were turning white.
Cindy spoke,”Please, do not leave yet!”
Pete thought,”I am done! I could not take any weapons with me!”
The nurse stopped and walked back like the young lady was wasting her time.
Cindy spoke,”Please, close the curtain behind you, that outside room lights hurt my eyes.”
The nurse spoke,”Whatever,” as she did as she was asked. The nurse left for the nursing station that was out of earshot.”
Cindy spoke,”Why are you doing here, Pete? You can not be hear, because the administer will kill you if he finds out that you are here with me.”
Pete jumped out from under the many blankets and wiped the sweat off his brow.
He spoke,”I had to see you again, I do not care what happens to me.”
Pete held the pregnant teenager’s hand but Cindy pulled her hand away in disgust.
Cindy spoke,”I did not want you to see me since I am so hideous!”
Pete was taken back by the young lady’s comment.
Pete smiled at the comment.
Cindy put her hands in her face and started to cry.
She said,”Do not make fun of me.”
Pete’s face shifted from a smile to a look of bewilderment.
Pete spoke,”I smiled because you said you were ugly, when you are the prettiest blonde headed girl that I had ever seen.”
Cindy wiped her tears with a Kleenex and looked to her mystification.
Pete’s face was completely solemn and without any guile.
Cindy was completely speechless since her rapist father had always put her down to the point where she had given up.

It was a few years ago, and she had just had her first period. The nurses had told her father of what had occurred and he was eager to see Cindy. The young girl was “raised” in the nursing ward and knew very little of her body or the world around her.
Damion walked in the room to seeing Cindy crying on the bed with her face in her hands.
The tall man grabbed the girl like she had just done something wrong.
He raped her for the rest of the day after beating her black and blue.
That day, Cindy’s spirit was broken.

Cindy cried,”Pete, I am a pregnant slut and nobody loves me! Nobody ever did!”
Pete started to cry along with the young woman.
He spoke,”I would not judge you even if you were what you claimed to be, since you helped me
when my back was healing up. You gave me a reason to live after getting beat to death. I had nobody as
well when I met you. My folks died while working, I was then kidnapped, and forced into this hell!”
Pete turned his back to Cindy while still seating on the side of the hospital bed. He lifted his shirt and revealed the whip scars on his back. To how, the lad did not bleed to death, Cindy did not know.”
Cindy was completely in awe of how Pete could be so cheerful, despite his constant suffering.
Cindy put her slender hand on his back and gently rubbed his back out of both in an attempt to try to comprehend what she was seeing and also to comfort her friend.
Cindy asked,”Who did this to you?”
Pete spoke with his back still facing the pregnant girl,”I do not know the name of who had done
this but it was some evil woman that once worked here.”
Cindy spoke,”What happened?”
Pete spoke,”She beat me with a whip and I fought back. She fell off a balcony to her death.”
Cindy gasped,”You actually fought back? You can do that?”
The young woman had been brainwashed by her father and his underlings her entire life, so rebellion was a new concept to her.”
Pete broke the gaze on the lad’s back when she heard him cry up. Cindy rolled over to his side of the bed and saw the young man beside himself with grief.
Cindy thought to herself,”He is as depressed as I am! He cheered me up despite all his suffering he was going through himself.
Cindy put her head on his shoulder to try to comfort him, he returns the gesture with an arm
around her side.

Bob was getting nervous, while pacing through the playground.
Bob thought,”Hurry up, Pete! We have bed check tonight and we can not be late! What is taking
you so long? It is starting to get dark and you have you to hurry!”
Two boys start to yell,”Piggy! Piggy! Piggy!”
Bob paid the boys no heed until they were almost upon him.
One of the boys yell,”What is up, faggot?”
The other boy spoke,”Where is your lover?”
Bob turned around to see the two boys charging him.
The chubby lad pulls out his trusty slingshot and flings two rocks that landed between each of the boys’ eyes.
The two boys fall unto their back, writhing out with pain with a huge welt between the would be bullies’ eyes.
Bob runs over to the boys and kicks them both in their head.
The boys are knocked out cold.

Pete and Cindy were in a tender embrace, when the girl asks,”Pete, do you hate me?”
Pete turned over to his friend and said,”No, I do not hate you! You are one of my only two friends here in this place.”
Cindy was opened mouthed by the response and said,”Who is the other one?”
Pete spoke,”He is my sharpshooter, Bob. He is not very fast but he has the sharpest eyes I have ever seen.”
Cindy spoke,”You have to leave before the nurse or he….”
A look of dread envelopes the pregnant girl.
Pete could not help but see the genuine horror on Cindy’s face, but he knew that he had to get back before bed check. He would be put in the isolation ward if he was late.
Pete did not want to leave but he knew that he could not live Bob hanging.
Bob was walking towards the vent where Pete was supposed to return from, when he hears grunts coming from the exhaust vent.
Bob opened up the vent and helped pulled Pete out, who was covered head to toe in dust.
The two boys both cough as they wiped the dirt off them. Bob sealed the vent back up with a screwdriver, as the boys wiped the dirt off.

Bob and Pete were siting on their well made beds awaiting their monthly bed checks so that they could go eat their dinner that night.
Pete thought,”I am glad that I got to see that see was okay and I was surprised to see that she was a mother to be. I heard of girls my age having babies, but she was basically a shut in. Who could be the father? He never saw any men around her when he living there.”

The menstrual cycle is the regular natural change that occurs in the female reproductive system (specifically the uterus and ovaries) that makes pregnancy possible.[1][2] The cycle is required for the production of ovocytes, and for the preparation of the uterus for pregnancy.[1] Up to 80% of women report having some symptoms during the one to two weeks prior to menstruation.[3] Common symptoms include acne, tender breasts, bloating, feeling tired, irritability and mood changes.[4] These symptoms interfere with normal life and therefore qualify as premenstrual syndrome in 20 to 30% of women. In 3 to 8%, they are severe.[3]
The first period usually begins between twelve and fifteen years of age, a point in time known as menarche.[5] They may occasionally start as early as eight, and this onset may still be normal.[6] The average age of the first period is generally later in the developing world and earlier in developed world. The typical length of time between the first day of one period and the first day of the next is 21 to 45 days in young women and 21 to 35 days in adults (an average of 28 days).[6][7] Menstruation stops occurring after menopause which usually occurs between 45 and 55 years of age.[8] Bleeding usually lasts around 2 to 7 days.[6]
The menstrual cycle is governed by hormonal changes.[6] These changes can be altered by using hormonal birth control to prevent pregnancy.[9] Each cycle can be divided into three phases based on events in the ovary (ovarian cycle) or in the uterus (uterine cycle).[1] The ovarian cycle consists of the follicular phase, ovulation, and luteal phase whereas the uterine cycle is divided into menstruation, proliferative phase, and secretory phase.
